2 men injured in shooting Tuesday during argument at Summit Lake car wash

Two males involved in a Summit Lake shooting Tuesday afternoon were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries, according to Akron Police.

Officers responded to reports of a shooting at the Custom Auto Detailing & Hand Car Wash in the 1100 block of South Main Street at around 1:44 p.m. Instead of locating any shooting victims, they found shell casings and other evidence of a crime. Officers were later notified that two males, a 28-year-old and a 29-year-old were dropped off at a local hospital with gunshot wounds.

Detectives believe an unknown suspect shot the victims during an argument, based on an initial investigation.

Their names are being withheld pending notifications and further investigation.
