Two Leap Day babies were born at UofL Health early on Thursday morning. So, when do they get to celebrate their birthday?

Leap Day only occurs once every four years, so those born on the 29th don’t always get the opportunity to celebrate the day of. Not to worry, they still get to celebrate another time, most commonly on Feb. 28 or March 1.

But what does that mean for age? We did the math for you, and these Leap Day babies won’t celebrate their 16th birthday until 2088.

Were any 2024 Leap Day babies born in Louisville?

According to a news release, UofL Health welcomed two Leap Day babies on Thursday.

The first, a boy, Milan Sardina, was born at 1:52 a.m. weighing 8 pounds and 10 ounces.

He was followed by baby girl, Noemi Bibiano Rodriguez, born at 2:50 a.m. at 7 pounds and 3 ounces.
