2 hospitalized with severe injuries after head-on crash in NW Bakersfield

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Two people were taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries after a head-on crash in northwest Bakersfield early Monday morning, officials said.

Kern County firefighters were dispatched to the area of Snow and Zerker roads for a rescue response crash at around 6:30 a.m. Upon firefighters’ arrival, two vehicles were found. They collided head-on.

Fire officials say one patient was pinned in and had to be extracted from a vehicle.

Ultimately two patients were taken to a local hospital by a ground ambulance with “life-threatening injuries,” according to fire officials.
