2 Fresno men arrested after stealing $2,000 of merchandise from Paso Robles Target, police say

Two Fresno men were arrested Monday in Paso Robles after stealing more around $2,000 of merchandise from a Target.

According to a news release from the Paso Robles Police Department, at around 4:04 p.m., officers responded to a report of two men later identified as Fresno residents Christopher Arreola, 28, and Brennan Visser, 42 stealing around $2,000 worth of items from the store before fleeing the scene.

Arreola fled in a black Ford Focus, rear-ending an unrelated vehicle as officers attempted to pull him over, according to the release. After the collision, he fled on foot but was taken into custody after a short pursuit, according to the release.

No one was injured in the collision, and further investigation of Arreola’s vehicle revealed a small amount of narcotics, burglary tools, and stolen property, according to the release.

Arreola was booked into the San Luis Obispo County Jail on multiple charges, including felony theft, possession of narcotics, outstanding warrants, possession of burglary tools and driving under the influence of drugs, according to the release.

Visser was located in a nearby parking lot an arrested without incident, according to the release.

Arreola is currently booked into the San Luis Obispo County Jail without bail, while Visser is currently in jail on a $20,000 bail, according to the Sheriff’s Office website.
