2 dead after murder-suicide in Scotland County, deputies say

SCOTLAND COUNTY, N.C. (WBTW) — Two people were killed in a murder-suicide in Scotland County over the weekend, the sheriff’s office said on Monday.

Deputies responded on Saturday to McEachin Road in the Laurel Hill area for two people reportedly unresponsive, the sheriff’s office said. When they arrived, they found two people who were dead and determined it to be a murder-suicide.

James Roy Larkin, 82, and Ann Baker Larkin, 71, were both killed.

No other information was immediately available.
