Upon investigation, CHP says a Chevy Silverado was traveling eastbound approaching the intersection without control while at the same time, a red Mitsubishi was traveling on Dewolf Avenue, approaching the intersection.

Officers say it is unknown if the driver of the Mitsubishi stopped at the stop sign posted or if they proceeded. The Mitsubishi got into the way of the pickup truck and both vehicles ended up colliding.

CHP says two people were pronounced dead at the scene as a result of the collision. Two other individuals were taken to the hospital.

Investigators say speed does not seem to be a factor in this collision, and there is still no information as to whether alcohol and or drugs had something to do with the incident.

This is an ongoing investigation.
