2 dead, 4 injured in Little Falls crash

Two Paterson residents died and four other people were injured in a two-car crash in Little Falls on Friday night, according to the Passaic County Prosecutor's Office.

A Jeep Grand Cherokee collided with a Mercedes C300 at the intersection of Woodhull Avenue and Newark Pompton Turnpike at around 10:40 p.m., according to Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Little Falls Police Department Deputy Chief Brian Prall.

Two passengers in the Mercedes died as a result of the collision, Shahriyar Ahmed, 19, and Shakeel Ali, 19, both of Paterson.

The driver of the Jeep and the three other occupants of the Mercedes were transported to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson for treatment of "various injuries," according to the release.
