2 convicted felons, 1 wanted teen apprehended after Mt. Juliet traffic stop

MT. JULIET, Tenn. (WKRN) — A Thursday morning traffic stop led to the arrests of two convicted felons and a wanted 16-year-old, according to the Mt. Juliet Police Department.

All apprehended were in possession of handguns, per the department.

Officials said one of the felons was a 27-year-old Nashville woman who was charged with possession of a Schedule VI drug for resale, unlawful drug paraphernalia, driving with a suspended license, and unlawful possession of a weapon by a convicted felon. The other felon was a 29-year-old Nashville man who was also charged with unlawful possession of a weapon by a convicted felon, as well as driving with a suspended license.

The teen was wanted in Rutherford County for burglary, resisting arrest, and curfew violations, according to authorities. In addition, he was charged with unlawful possession of a weapon.

The Mt. Juliet Police Department added that “officers’ proactive efforts continue to lead to the apprehension of criminals” and that they are grateful for their staff’s dedication.

No additional details have been released about the identities of those arrested or the circumstances surrounding the traffic stop.
