2 associates of ex-Cowboy Lockhart get prison

DALLAS (AP) — Two business associates of former Dallas Cowboys linebacker Eugene Lockhart Jr. have been sentenced to prison in a $20 million mortgage scam.

A federal judge in Dallas on Wednesday sentenced William Randolph Tisdale Jr. to 10 years for conspiracy to commit wire fraud and bank fraud.

The Dallas Morning News (http://dallasne.ws/VIe7e3 ) reports prosecutors have described Tisdale as the leader of the Dallas-based scam.

Hubert Jones III of Garland must serve nearly five years in prison for wire fraud, conspiracy to commit wire fraud and bank fraud. Tisdale and Jones were convicted in February.

Lockhart in August 2011 pleaded guilty to wire fraud and awaits sentencing. He faces up to 10 years in prison.

Lockhart played for the Cowboys from 1984 through 1990 and for New England in 1991-92.
