2 arrested in connection to death of woman found near Stockdale Hwy and Superior Rd

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Two people have been arrested in connection to the death of a woman whose body was found west of Bakersfield on Friday, according to the Kern County Sheriff’s Office.

A KCSO spokesperson said deputies were called to the area of Stockdale Highway and Superior Road on Friday morning for a report of someone down. The sheriff’s office said a 33-year-old woman’s body was located there.

Investigators then arrested Jaime Regalado Avalos for murder and Nora Lina Vasquez Hernandez for accessory to murder, the spokesperson said. No details were provided about what led up to the woman’s death or what linked Avalos and Vasquez-Hernandez to the victim.

The two suspects were arrested in Frazier Park on Friday and are due in court on Tuesday, according to jail records.
