All 2,500 of this shelter's animals were adopted — leaving one sad, sweet little dog behind

Has it been a long time since you last cried? If so, let me help you.

On Saturday, the BISSELL Pet Foundation held an "Empty the Shelters" event for Little Traverse Bay Humane Society in Harbor Springs, Michigan. All 2,500 of the shelter's animals were adopted, leaving behind just one little pup, Eastwood — until someone took action.

Eastwood is a 70-pound Labrador retriever who with a deformity in his leg. Workers at the shelter estimated that he may need a $4,000 surgery down the road, which appears to have scared some potential owners off.

All of the dogs from Saturday were adopted, except for poor Eastwood. The shelter's Communications and Marketing Director, Jessica Evans, felt terrible about it and decided to post Eastwood on Facebook:

""Poor Eastwood is so lonely now that all of his pals have been adopted!" Evans said. "This amazing boy has a few health issues that need to be addressed (which is why we think he was abandoned initially, poor guy!), but this boy is so sweet, we know it will be well worth it."

Crying yet? No? Hold on.

Evans' post quickly became viral and soon enough, the applications started pouring in. Evans reported that she ultimately received over 80 applications.

On Monday, Eastwood will move into his new home in Detroit.

"For everyone who was hoping to adopt Eastwood, please consider opening your heart and home to one of the many homeless dogs who enter our shelter system every year-there are so many in need of wonderful, forever homes!" Evans wrote on Facebook.

We're so — sob sob, heave heave, *call mom* — happy for him.
