$1M winning lottery ticket sold in city

Mar. 11—BALTIMORE — A Maryland Lottery player in Cumberland bought a FAST PLAY ticket worth $1 million over the weekend, lottery officials said Monday.

The Monopoly Properties ticket was sold Sunday at Circle K on East Oldtown Road and remained unclaimed Monday morning.

In all, 33 Maryland Lottery tickets worth $10,000 or more were purchased or claimed in the week ending March 10, and players won prizes totaling nearly $32 million in that span.

Winners of prizes larger than $25,000 must redeem their tickets at the Maryland Lottery Claims Center in Baltimore, which is open by appointment only. Prizes of up to $5,000 can be claimed at any of more than 400 Expanded Cashing Authority Program locations. All Maryland Lottery retailers are authorized to redeem tickets up to and including $600.
