19-year-old suspected burglar behind bars awaiting trial

ST. LOUIS – A 19-year-old St. Louis man is facing 20 counts tied to a series of crimes ranging from car theft, car clouting, and assorted property damage across the Central West End, St. Louis Hills, and Lindenwood Park neighborhoods.

According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department’s probable cause statements, the crimes took place at the following locations on the following dates:

  • 4055 Lindell Boulevard (January 11)

  • 7 Maryland Plaza (January 11)

  • 6924 Chippewa Street (January 12)

  • 6920 Chippewa Street (January 12 and January 30)

  • 3921 Hampton Avenue (January 30)

  • 4061 Lindell Boulevard (January 30)

  • 8 North Newstead Avenue (January 30)

  • 111 North Newstead Avenue (January 30)

On January 11, police claim Kendall Robinson, 19, and others stole an Infiniti JX35 with a handgun inside the vehicle. They allegedly rummaged through another car at that location.

On January 12, police claim Robinson attempted to break into one business in a strip mall and then managed to break into a neighboring business.

On January 30, Robinson and others allegedly broke into three vehicles and three businesses at different locations. They also attempted to break into a bank ATM with a crowbar.

The St. Louis Circuit Attorney’s Office charged Robinson with stealing, stealing a motor vehicle, stealing a firearm, two counts of stealing – $750 or more, five counts of second-degree burglary, attempted second-degree burglary, attempted stealing – $25,000 or more, and nine counts of first-degree property damage.
