19-year-old suspect sought in Pueblo homicide

(PUEBLO, Colo.) — The Pueblo Police Department (PPD) is searching for a 19-year-old in connection to the shooting death of a man on the south side of Pueblo on Sunday, April 7.

According to PPD, 19-year-old Gabriel Joseph Santiago is sought as a suspect in the shooting death of 27-year-old Dominic Aaron Adams of Pueblo. Adams was pronounced dead by Pueblo County Coroner’s investigators after police responded to the 1000 block of Elm Street just before 9:30 p.m. on April 7.

When officers arrived on scene, they found Adams suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. On Monday, April 15, PPD said that a warrant had been issued for Santiago on charges of First Degree Murder in connection to Adams’ death.

Santiago is described as a Hispanic male, 6’4”, with brown hair and brown eyes. He may be driving a 2017 black Hyundai Accent with Colorado license plate CTDR27.
