17 people, 2 dogs displaced after apartment fire in Northeast DC

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — DC Fire and EMS said that just after midnight, it was dispatched to the 300 block of Seaton Place for a building fire.

First responders arrived at the scene within minutes when they saw heavy fire coming from the roof and in the rear of building that had extended to a few adjacent buildings.

About 100 firefighters were on the scene.

There were no reported injuries.

The Red Cross is assisting the 17 people displaced.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
