16th Annual Community-Wide Blood Drive set for Wednesday

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The 16th Annual Community-Wide Blood Drive at Compassion Corner is set for Wednesday, May 1.

The blood drive will be located in front of the KGET Studios at 2120 L Street, from 5 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Shane Hubbard with Houchin Community Blood Bank joined 17 News at Noon with more information on this blood drive.

How parents can prevent sexual abuse

Hubbard said all successful donors at the blood drive and during the month of May will have the opportunity to win a $2,000 Disney gift card.

In addition to that, all successful donors can receive vouchers to local businesses and vendors.
