16-year-old, 19-year-old shot in Corcoran, police say

CORCORAN, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A 16-year-old and a 19-year-old were hospitalized following a shooting in Corcoran over the weekend, according to the Corcoran Police Department.

Police say on May 12, at approximately 12:22 a.m. police officers were dispatched to the 2100 block of Dairy Avenue regarding reports of a shooting.

Upon arrival, police say officers located two victims, each suffering from one gunshot wound. One victim is a 16-year-old and the other is a 19-year-old. Officers and paramedics conducted first aid and the two victims were transported by ambulance to a local hospital.

Police have not released the victims’ conditions.

Police say they located evidence at the scene of the shooting and detectives were called out and took over the investigation.
