14 injured after Russian missile attack on Odessa
14 people have been injured in another Russian missile attack on the city of Odesa on the evening of May 1, according to Odesa Governor Oleh Kiper. (All times listed are GMT+3, Kyiv local time.)
The missiles struck a sorting office owned by Nova Poshta, Ukraine's largest private postal service.

U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Bridget Brink stressed the need to strengthen Ukraine's air defense in light of the latest Russian ballistic missile attacks on Odesa.
"These events once again underscore the importance of air defense as a means of Ukraine's ability to defend itself against Russia's brutal attacks," Brink wrote.

The blaze which arose as a result of the attack is currently being extinguished. Some civil infrastructure has been reported as damaged by the attack, and windows have broken in the surrounding houses.

Volodymyr Popereshnyuk, co-founder of the company, confirmed that no fatalities occurred as a result of the attack.
"The main thing is that everyone is alive! All 18 people who were on shift managed to hide in the bomb shelter," he said.
23:19 Nova Poshta confirmed that Russian forces struck a sorting office and branch office.
The company announced that customers who lost their shipment as a result of the strike will be compensated for the estimated value of their parcels, and that parcels that were on the way to that branch office have been redirected.

At least 13 victims have been reported so far. A blaze has whipped up at the site of the strike.

22:15 Odesa Mayor Gennadiy Trukhanov warns that Odesa has been targeted by Russian forces.
"Stay in shelters! Explosions are heard in the city!" Trukhanov wrote.
An air raid alert was announced in a number of southern, eastern and central oblasts of Ukraine as of 22:00.
The Ukrainian Air Force has warned of the threat of missile strikes in these areas.
Russia also attacked Odesa with ballistic missiles on the night of May 1, killing three and injuring three more.
As a result of a Russian attack on Odesa on April 29, six people died and more than 30 were injured, including two children and a pregnant woman.
"Harry Potter's castle" — the palace of students of the Odesa Law Academy, which also serves as the residence of the academy's rector, Serhii Kivalov, caught fire. Kivalov himself was also injured.
According to the Office of the Prosecutor General, Russian forces struck the Odesa coast with an Iskander ballistic missile with a cluster warhead.
