’13 years, gone in 13 seconds’: Spring Hill Halloween attraction owners reeling after storms

SPRING HILL, Tenn. (WKRN) — The owners of a popular Halloween attraction in Spring Hill are reeling from the damage of last week’s storms.

Creepy Hollow Haunted Woods is a haunted house, way out in the woods of Spring Hill. The spooky destination was opened by husband and wife Rocky and Debby Frisch in 2011. After last week’s destructive weather, all of their hard work has literally been washed away.

“13 years in the making, gone in 13 seconds,” said Rocky.

“I just don’t know what we’re going to do, we just don’t know what we’re going to do right now,” added an emotional Debby. “It’s not just the fact that I can’t run the business, but it was just all the work that we put into it. It just evaporated.”

The attraction is the couple’s only source of income, having invested everything into it this past decade. The damage extends to their personal residence as well, with half their house caved in and tarped off.

“Our hearts are broken, on many levels,” Debby said. “I lost my house. We’re going to try and bring this back to you, I hope we can. Any support, any financial or even support that’s work, donate your time, to help us figure out what to do.”

“Hey if we got lemons, we’re going to make lemonade. One way or another, we got one heck of a lemonade stand here,” said Rocky, pointing at the destruction behind him.

There is a great example of human kindness in this story—Debby and Rocky told News 2 that support has come from all over these last few days, including from total strangers. They said one couple they had never met heard of their damage on social media and drove over an hour with equipment to help with their clean-up efforts.

To donate to the Frisch’s GoFundMe page, click HERE. The couple’s goal is $50,000, although Debby admitted their costs will likely exceed that mark.
