13 and 17-year-old killed in Pueblo crash

(PUEBLO, Colo.) — The Pueblo County Coroner has identified two people killed in a two-car crash in the early morning hours of Friday, April 12 in Pueblo.

According to the Pueblo Police Department (PPD), a white sedan was spotted speeding around midnight on Friday on West Northern Avenue, near Bessemer Park. The car later crashed head-on into a truck as the truck was turning north onto Beulah Avenue from eastbound Northern Avenue.

Two of the three people in the sedan were declared dead on scene, and the truck driver as well as another person from the sedan were taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The crash investigation revealed that the white sedan was an unreported stolen car, and it was being driven recklessly at high speeds and with the headlights off.

On Monday, April 15, the Pueblo County Coroner announced that the two people killed in the sedan were a 13-year-old and a 17-year-old. Their identities will not be released due to their ages.
