12 things to know about parking, policies, refunds at the new amphitheater in Macon

Ready to rock, Macon?

The city will make history Sunday as Lynyrd Skynyrd and ZZ Top are the first official acts to take the new stage at the Atrium Health Amphitheater.

Other performers include Riley Green, Justin Moore, Lauren Daigle, Moneybagg Yo, Glorilla, Jason Aldean and more.

Time to get your tickets and memorize all the lyrics. But there are some other things to remember as well.

Here’s what we know about the amphitheater’s parking, policies and more.

Where can I park, and is parking free?

Parking will be available at the Macon Mall property for free and valet parking will be available for purchase online.

Are animals allowed?

No animals are allowed in the amphitheater, except service animals.

What’s the alcohol policy?

Alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase at the venue. You must have a valid ID to purchase.

What bags are allowed?

No bags over the size of 8.5 inches-by-5.5 inches clutch are allowed unless a single-pocket, clear bag is used.

What methods of payment are accepted?

All major credit cards including Visa, Master Card, Discover and American Express are accepted. Apple Pay and Google Pay are also accepted at concession stands, bars and at the ticket office.

There will also be reverse ATMs available onsite for prepaid debit cards to use at cashless concessions and retail locations.

What’s the smoking policy?

Smoking and vaping are prohibited.

If it rains, will the event be canceled and refunded?

The Atrium Health Amphitheater is an outdoor venue which monitors weather conditions hourly on event days. All events are rain or shine. The venue and event promoter’s policy is no refunds or exchanges in the event of rain, event delay and/or evacuation. Refunds will only be given if the event is canceled in its entirety. Raincoats and ponchos are allowed.

Is re-entry allowed?

No, there’s a strict no re-entry policy.

What chairs should I bring for lawn seating?

Each Atrium Health Amphitheater event will have different chair regulations. If lawn chairs are allowed, they will need to be low back chairs, with 9-inch legs or shorter.

Can I bring a stroller?

The amphitheater recommends that guests leave strollers at home. However, if one is needed, the venue requests that it be a collapsible stroller that can fit under your reserved seat and does not block any aisles or create a tripping hazard in walkways.

When do the doors open for events?

Doors will typically open 90 minutes before the event.

Are there any other rules I should know about?

Atrium Health Amphitheater staff will proactively support an environment free from the following behaviors:

  • Sitting in a location other than the guest’s ticketed seat

  • Behavior that is unruly, disruptive, or illegal in nature

  • Intoxication or other signs of alcohol or substance impairment that results in irresponsible behavior

  • Foul or abusive language, or obscene gestures

  • Interference with event progress

  • Failure to follow instructions from venue personnel

  • Verbal or physical harassment of Atrium Health Amphitheater guests and staff members

List of prohibited items in the venue:

  • Any bags over the size of 8.5 inches-by-5.5 inches clutch unless a single pocket, clear bag is used. Please review the Clear Bag Policy for more information.

  • Cameras with professional lenses larger than 4 inches or removable lenses, tripods, monopods, and all other professional video and audio recording equipment

  • Illegal drugs

  • Large umbrellas (anything longer than 18 inches when fully collapsed is not allowed)

  • Laser pointers, aerosol cans and noise makers

  • Outside food and beverage

  • Bottles, cans or coolers

  • Distribution of unapproved promotional material

  • Balloons

  • Weapons or firearms
