Every season after covering fashion weeks in New York, London, Milan, and Paris, Vogue editors gather around a giant conference table to analyze what happened on the runways. Hits and misses from favorite designers are discussed and trends are debated. This is how it’s always worked, and this season was no different. Out of that aforementioned discussion (and other smaller internal chats), a forecast was born: For Spring 2019, wanderlust and craftiness are the big stories, so are bold shoulders and beige. Bike shorts are here to stay. These trends act as points on our collective sartorial compass, providing guidance and inspiration.

But what about the lewks? In the world we live in right now, the trend conversation isn’t limited to us editors. It exists on a much larger scale in the digital space through the efforts of influencers and celebrities posting images of their fashion adventures 24/7. While they certainly help to promote trends, they also love a good head-to-toe runway outfit, which can rake in hundreds of thousands of likes and many more followers, too. In recent seasons, labels like Balenciaga and Gucci have gotten ample play. At the Spring 2019 shows, Prada’s highlighter neons were everywhere. So, what are we going to see on Instagram when the shows roll around next February?

We’re betting on more Prada, especially those nylon baby doll dresses. Balenciaga will no doubt be a viral contender again as well, in particular its crystal-embellished Eiffel Tower motifs. Stella McCartney’s floral bike shorts onesie is digital gold, as is Off-White’s spandex ballerina gown (a version of which has already been worn by Beyoncé). Chanel and Valentino have spun new logo gear for the influencer set, and Gucci is bound to get a lot of double taps for its Dolly Parton pieces. Remember the giant Jacquemus sun hat that was all over the Internet this summer? The designer made an equally ’grammable bag to match. Here are 11 Spring 2019 outfits sure to rule the Insta universe sometime in the very near future.
