11-year-old dies in hospital after accidental shooting in Catawba County: Sheriff

CATAWBA COUNTY, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — An 11-year-old child has died following an accidental shooting in Catawba County, the Catawba County Sheriff’s Office confirmed Tuesday.

Deputies responded to calls regarding the incident on Friday, April 19, at a location off Finger Bridge Road. The child passed away at Baptist Hospital, the sheriff’s office said.
