The Pensacola Police Department cleared N.B. Cook Elementary School Thursday morning after an 11-year-old made a bomb threat.

Out of an abundance of caution, the school was temporarily evacuated.

Officer Mike Wood, PPD spokesman, told the News Journal that an 11-year-old student made the threat around 9:17 a.m., but officer and a bomb detection dog were able to clear the building around 10 a.m.

"The building has been cleared and everything is back to normal," Wood said.
