10th Annual Louisiana Comic Con held in Lafayette this weekend

LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) — The biggest event for fans everywhere, the 10th annual Louisiana Comic Con is happening this weekend in Lafayette.

Louisiana Comic Con kicked off day one of the two day event with a diverse list of guests, vendors and fans.

Greg Hallows, owner of Humble Enterprises:

“There’s everything from celebrities doing autographs and meet and greets and just meeting their fans and photo ops. There’s a whole floor of video gaming upstairs, tabletop gaming, like board games and stuff and then also video games. Lots of people in costume, we have a costume contest later today,” said Greg Hallows, owner of Humble Enterprises.

The upstairs of the convention center was completely transformed into a place for tabletop and desktop gaming.

“We do a lot of role-playing games, dungeons and dragons, we do a lot of collectible card games just a real community-oriented way to kind of help people get into the hobby,” James Bardwells, manager at Heroes Haven.

Among the celebrities featured at Louisiana Comic Con, some stars you may recognize from a 2010 film attended. Zach Gordon, who played Greg Hefley, and Robert Capron who played Rowley in Diary of a Wimpy Kid.

So get your masks and swords ready for day 2 of Louisiana Comic Con.
