$10K reward for tips after Grand Rapids man shot, killed

KENTWOOD, Mich. (WOOD) — After a 20-year-old man was found dead in a parked car in Kentwood, authorities are seeking information from the community.

Silent Observer announced Thursday it would pay up to $10,000 for information leading to the person responsible for the death of Martin Martinez-Ramirez. Friends and family raised the money to help encourage tips and find answers.

Police say Martinez-Ramirez, of Grand Rapids, was shot and killed. Kentwood officers found him Jan. 27 in a parked car on Wing Avenue near 60th Street.

He was remembered by family as “truly an angel” who “helped everyone, whether he knew them or didn’t.”
