10 models that should be on your radar this Fashion Week -- who aren't Gigi or Kendall
New York City is gearing up for one of its biggest weeks of the year: Fashion week. Exclusive invites have flooded in and models are landing their final auditions, while famed designers quickly make their final touches.
When you think of Fashion Week, it's easy to think of high-profile models like Kendall and Gigi, Cara or Alessandra front and center. All of these ladies are sure to be in attendance at this year's shows, front row and in the show, but there is some other talent that is worth profiling.
They may not be household names, have their own fashion line or frequent Cannes, but these lesser-known faces surely danced side-by-side Kendall and Gigi on the runway at multiple points in their careers.
The taxing audition process -- which sometimes requires models to attend 15 auditions per day -- sees talent from all over the world. Casting directors take a few minutes to assess their bodies and personalities, looking for that Fashion Week "glow."
