10 new Midstate businesses opened last month

CENTRAL PENNSYLVANIA (WHTM) — Back in February we had ten different businesses that officially opened their doors in the Midstate.

Here is a recap of all the openings incase you missed it!

Openings:

Alvaro Bread & Pastry Shoppe (2/2)

  • This locally owned bakery recently opened the doors to its newest Midstate bakery location back on February 6. This local bakery has been around for nearly 20 years; their new location can be found on 4715 North Front Street in Harrisburg.

Bobby Bay’s Sandwich Shop (2/5)

  • This local sandwich shop made its official Midstate in Lancaster County at 1878 Lincoln Highway East. The new shop offers a wide variety of sandwiches, subs, burgers, sides, and more. Additionally, the new location boasts  several house-made toppings, such as their truffle whiz and cherry pepper mayo.

Best Western Plus Heritage Rail Inn & Suites (2/8)

  • This newly renovated Best Western Hotel opened its doors back on February 2 after undergoing a $3 million renovation. The new hotel features 73 guestrooms along with 55 suites for guests to choose from. Additionally, the new hotel offers a 24-hour state-of-the-art fitness center, a business center, a meeting room, and a seasonal outdoor pool.

Hell In A Bucket Brewery (2/14)

  • This Midstate brewery recently relocated from York County to a new space in Marietta, Lancaster County. The brewery officially opened its new location on February 15 and is open Thursdays through Sundays.

Sheetz (2/15)

  • This new Sheetz location opened its doors in Lebanon County back on February 15. the new location is nearly 5,000 square feet in size and boasts 10 fuel pump terminals. Additionally, Sheetz said that they expect to create between 30 to 35 jobs at the new location.

Hershey Children’s Museum (2/16)

  • A new childrens museum recently debuted at 3065 Elizabethtown Road, right across the street from Hershey Adventure Sports. The new facility is just over 8,000 square feet in size and features more than 40 different exhibits for children to explore. The new museum is open seven days a week.

Wildflower Coffee (2/19)

  • A new locally owned coffee shop recently opened for business inside the McCormick Riverfront Library, which is located at 101 Walnut Street in Harrisburg. The new cafe space features seating for about eight to ten guests at a time and they offer different teas, coffees, expressos, hot chocolate, and baked goods such as muffins, cookies, and croissants.

HEYDUDE (2/20)

  • This popular lightweight shoe retailer, which was acquired by Crocs in 2022, recently opened a new shop at the Lancaster Tanger Outlets at 311 Stanley K Tanger Drive. This new store is in suite 1230 and is situated between Francesca’s and the Levi’s Outlet.

Sunnyside Medical Cannabis Dispensary (2/23)

  • This medical cannabis dispensary recently opened is doors on 1380 York Road at the Lincoln Commons shopping center in Gettysburg. The new dispensary offers a wide range of medical cannabis products including flower, vape, troche, concentrate, topical, capsules, and tincture products.

Vintage Candy Shop (2/28)

  • This local novelty candy shop recently relocated to a large 4,00 square foot space  at 38 West King Street. The new location offers over 500 different novelty candies, snacks, slushies, ice cream, a concession window, and a vending machine cafe, and a lot more. The new shop is opened seven days a week.
