LOS ANGELES (WJW) — With the 2024 Academy Awards ceremony less than a week away, it’s time to reflect on a big Oscars moment that took place 10 years ago (so no, we’re not talking about “the slap”).

Turns out the Ellen DeGeneres selfie was snapped a whole 10 years ago.

You know the one.

The moment came about mid-ceremony when DeGeneres, who was taking her hosting duties seriously, asked a group of mostly ultra famous celebrities all sitting in a similar spot in the auditorium to get in a photo with her to try and break a record for most retweets.

‘Dune: Part Two’ is first major hit of 2024, with $81.5 million debut

The photo serves as a time capsule of 2014, back with Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie were still together and the allegations against Kevin Spacey hadn’t yet come to light.

The photo went on to garner 2.7 million retweets and more than two million likes, according to CNN, and most of the people in the photo are still extremely famous.

Bradley Cooper is the only one in the photo up for a few Oscars come Sunday night. He’s nominated for best actor, best picture and best original screenplay for the film “Maestro.”

The Oscars start at 7 p.m. Sunday and are hosted by Jimmy Kimmel.
