1 student stabbed, another slashed in fight at Manhattan school: NYPD

NEW YORK (PIX11) — A fight at a Hell’s Kitchen school led to one student being stabbed and another being slashed on Tuesday afternoon, police said.

The incident happened at 439 West 49th St. at the High School of Graphic Communications at around 1:20 p.m., according to the NYPD. One student was stabbed in the chest, and another student was slashed in the face, police said.

The students, ages 15 and 17, were taken to a hospital for treatment. The student who was stabbed in the chest was in serious condition, a source told PIX11 News.

Police did not immediately disclose the students’ ages. The school does not have scanning technology for weapons.
