1 seriously hurt in Cascade Township crash

CASCADE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — One person was seriously hurt in an early Saturday morning crash in Cascade Township.

Around 3 a.m., deputies with the Kent County Sheriff’s Office were sent to the area of 28th Street SE and Old 28th Street SE after an SUV crashed.

The sheriff’s office said that the driver, a female, was seriously hurt. Her condition has not been released.

It’s unclear what led up to the crash.

The road was closed in the area while crews investigated. It has since been reopened, the sheriff’s office said.

The crash remains under investigation.
