Hamptonites are notoriously careless drivers (hello, vacation brain!), and celebrities aren't immune to the occasional fender bender. Of course it really sucks when your car is extremely rare- as in, this specific model typically fetches more than $1M at auction.
So, here's what went down. Comedian Jerry Seinfeld was having coffee with his buddy, world famous polo player and model Nacho Figueras- because the A-listers of the Hamptons magically all seem to know each other. Fast forward the conversation, and Seinfeld's world is literally crushed. He watches a woman in a white BMW (what, she couldn't afford a Maserati?) back up into his super exotic 1973 Porsche 911 Carrera RSR. Please note, only 49 of these cars were built in 1973.

Jerry yelled at the woman, and even though she apologized, he was unmoved. According to Pg. 6, Jerry said,

She drove off. She did offer to give me her information, but the idea of having her in my life for one more second was intolerable … I went home and put my head under the covers.

Here's what we gathered from the story, if you smash into one of Jerry Seinfeld's insanely expensive cars that cost about as much as a low-end house in the Springs, you don't have to pay up. Plus, you've got the cocktail party gold story of recounting how one of the funniest guys on planet belittled you in front of male model Nacho Figueras. Bonus, no points on your insurance, nada!
