1 person killed in crash on Texas 199 in Lake Worth, police say
One person was killed in a single-vehicle crash on Texas 199 in Lake Worth on Monday morning, according to police.
Lake Worth police reported the fatal accident shortly after 10:30 a.m. on eastbound State Highway 199 at Loop 820.
The highway was shut down between Boat Club Road and I-820 for several hours during the crash investigation. At 2 p.m. police said they were preparing to reopen the road to traffic.
“As traffic returns to normal, we ask that you continue to keep the crash victim’s family in your thoughts and prayers,” police said in a post on X.
The person who died will be identified by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office.
