1 person killed in Burke County crash, driver identified

BURKE COUNTY, Ga. (WJBF) – One person is dead following a crash in Burke County.

Authorities at the sheriff’s office say that single vehicle fatality that occurred shortly before 11 pm Wednesday night.

The driver, identified as 27-year-old Trevor James Michael Prevatt of Temple, Ga., was traveling north on River Road near Marie Vann Road when his vehicle left the roadway and overturned several times.

He was ejected from the vehicle and died as a result.

The investigation continues and the identity of the driver is will be released after next of kin is notified.
