1 killed, 2 injured in crash at intersection in Ogletown Saturday morning

A 52-year-old Wilmington woman was killed in a two-vehicle crash early Saturday morning at Harmony Road and Route 4 in Ogletown, according to Delaware State Police. The intersection was closed for about three hours following the collision.

The woman, who police later identified as Margret Garrison, was traveling north on Harmony Road at around 5:50 a.m. when an 18-year-old Newark man's vehicle hit the passenger side of her car, police said.

The man was driving west on Route 4 and entered the intersection in the left through lane, police said. He was taken to Christiana Medical Center by emergency services and treated for non-life-threatening injuries, according to reports.

First responders also rushed the woman to the hospital, police said, where she was pronounced dead. Her passenger, a 53-year-old man, was treated for unknown injuries and released by paramedics at the scene of the crash, according to authorities.

None of those involved was "properly restrained," according to police reports. No charges have been filed, and authorities reported that the intersection's traffic light was functional at the time of the collision.
