1 injured in multi-vehicle crash involving Charlotte school bus: Medic

CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — One person has been injured in a multi-vehicle crash involving a Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools bus Wednesday, according to Medic and CMS.

Authorities said CMS Bus No. 9 was traveling to Piedmont Middle School Wednesday morning when the bus was involved in an accident. They said the bus was stopped at the intersection of Randolph Road and Woodlark Lane when two other vehicles collided, impacting Bus No. 9.

The driver and three students on the school bus were not injured in the crash, CMS said. Medic confirmed with Queen City News that one person, not a student, suffered minor injuries.

CMS said the students have been delayed in arriving at school Wednesday but “will have breakfast once they arrive and then head to class.”

No word on any charges in this crash at this time.
