1 injured in gas station shooting near Kalamazoo

OSHTEMO TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Authorities are investigating a shooting at a gas station near Kalamazoo Sunday.

The Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Office said it happened around 4:40 p.m. Sunday at the Speedway gas station at the intersection of KL Avenue and Drake Road in Oshtemo Township.

The sheriff’s office said multiple shots were fired at an intended target. They were not injured. However, a bystander received injuries that were not considered life-threatening.

It’s unknown what led to the shooting and no suspect information was released.
