Police arrest person of interest in Commerce City bus stop stabbing

DENVER (KDVR) — One person was taken to a local hospital after suffering multiple stab wounds at a bus stop in Commerce City on Sunday at around 7:30 a.m., according to police.

The person’s injuries did not appear to be life-threatening, and the victim is expected to survive.

The incident happened in the area of 56th Avenue and Quebec Street. Police confirmed that it happened at a bus stop.

Police released photos of a person of interest in the attack and asked for the public’s help identifying him.

On Monday morning, the Commerce City Police Department provided an update that the person of interest was located and taken into custody.
