1 hurt in shooting involving ‘unknown man’ at Florida school, officials say

RIVIERA BEACH, Fla. (WFLA) — A person was shot at a Florida school early Monday morning, according to a release.

According to NBC affiliate WPTV, Riviera Beach police said they were conducting a massive investigation at Suncoast Community High School, but there was no present threat to students.

However, a law enforcement officer told a WPTV reporter one person was injured in an officer-involved shooting.

A statement sent out by the School District of Palm Beach County said there was “a shooting involving an unknown adult male in the parking lot of Suncoast Community High School.”

No students and staff were harmed. Multiple campuses in the area were put on lockdown, but they have been cleared.
