1 hurt in fire in Chautauqua County

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — One person was hurt in a fire in Chautauqua County late Saturday night, according to the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office.

Crews responded to the fire at 4825 Route 30 in the town of Gerry just before 11:40 p.m. Saturday.

The fire was determined to have started in the kitchen of the home, but the cause of the fire is being ruled undetermined. The single occupant of the home was transported to UPMC Chautauqua to be treated for injuries sustained in the blaze.

The fire remains under investigation.
