1 hospitalized after ‘suspicious’ house fire, deputies say

CROCKERY TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — One person was hospitalized after a house fire deputies called “suspicious” Thursday morning.

Around 7:23 a.m., firefighters and deputies were sent to a house fire on Taft Street near 120th Avenue in Crockery Township, according to the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies found a person who had minor injuries and was taken to the hospital. The person’s name and age were not released.

The sheriff’s office said “the fire started under suspicious circumstances.” People at scene were interviewed and evidence was collected to determine how the flames may have started.
