1 in hospital after disturbance leads to shooting in Fresno

FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A person was hospitalized after a disturbance led to a shooting, the Fresno Police Department said.

Officers say just before 4 p.m. they responded to an apartment complex located at the 1400 block of North Peach Avenue in Fresno for a shooting.

Upon arrival, they say they located a male in their late teens suffering from gunshot wounds to his hand. He was transported to Community Regional Medical Center where he is listed in stable condition.

Detectives say a disturbance was reported in the home. During the disturbance, gunshots were fired and ended up hitting the male.

This is an ongoing investigation.
