1 hospitalized, 2 injured in NC shooting

FOREST CITY, N.C. (WSPA) – Three people were shot Sunday morning at a home in Forest City.

The Forest City Police Department responded to the 200 block of Caldwell Street before noon regarding a report of shots fired at a residence.

Upon arrival, officers located three individuals all suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.

One person was taken to Spartanburg Regional Medical Center with life-threatening injuries, police said. The other victims are expected to recover from their injuries.

Investigators said the incident appears to have resulted from a domestic dispute between all parties involved and there is no threat to the public.

Officers said criminal charges are expected after an investigative review with the district attorney’s office.
