1 dead after train, vehicle crash near Hwy 395

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — One person is dead after a train collided with a parked vehicle near Highway 395 in eastern Kern County Thursday afternoon.

The incident was reported around 4:20 p.m. Thursday in the area of Highway 395 in the Searles area, according to a Kern County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson.

Make-A-Wish and Bakersfield police turn boy’s dream to reality

Details leading to the incident are not immediately clear.

The sheriff’s office is handling the investigation.
