1 dead, several injured in overnight crash in Evergreen Park

EVERGREEN PARK, Ill. — One person died and multiple others were injured in an overnight crash in a suburb just south of Chicago.

Around 2:30 a.m. Sunday, the Chicago Fire Department responded to a call in the 3400 block of West 87th Street, across from Evergreen Cemetery, for a two-vehicle crash.

According to authorities, one person died at the scene and two others were taken to an area hospital in critical condition. A total of five people were hurt in the crash.

It’s not yet known what led up to the crash.

Evergreen Park police are investigating.
