1 dead after April crash in Georgetown County, South Carolina Highway Patrol says

GEORGETOWN COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — One person is dead following a crash that occurred last month in Georgetown County, South Carolina Highway Patrol said.

The collision happened April 25 at about 6:13 p.m. The crash happened on Highway 17 A, three miles south of Georgetown.

A 2004 Honda sedan travelling south on Highway 17 A drove off the right side of the road, struck an embankment, and overturned.

The 2004 Honda sedan was the only vehicle involved in the crash. Two people were in the vehicle at the time of the crash, SCHP said.

The driver and passenger were both injured and transported by EMS to an area hospital. The passenger later died at the hospital.
