1 dead, 5 in hospital after single-vehicle rollover crash on US 287

DENVER (KDVR) — One person is dead and five others were taken to a hospital after a single-vehicle rollover crash on U.S. Highway 287 Saturday evening.

Colorado State Patrol told FOX31 the call came in just after 7:30 p.m. reporting the crash on Highway 287 near Larimer County Road 4.

The vehicle, a Nissan Murano, was heading north on U.S. 287 when the driver lost control and the vehicle rolled.

All six men who were in the vehicle were taken to the hospital, some via helicopter. The driver was pronounced dead at the hospital, and one passenger had serious injuries.

CSP did not have further information to give regarding the extent of the injuries or condition of the other occupants.

Alcohol is being investigated as a possible cause of the crash.
