1 dead, 2 injured in Englewood parking lot shooting

CHICAGO — A man died and two others were injured in the parking lot of an Englewood strip mall Tuesday night.

CPD said the three men, ages 35, 38 and 34, were standing in the parking lot of 71st and Halsted Plaza when shots were fired.

The 35-year-old sustained multiple gunshot wounds to the body and was pronounced dead at the University of Chicago Medical Center. The 38-year-old was transported in serious condition with multiple gunshot wounds to the body.

The 34-year-old walked into St. Bernard Hospital with a gunshot wound to the arm and was released.
