1 dead, 1 injured in KCK double shooting near 38th, State Avenue
KANSAS CITY, Kan. — The Kansas City, Kansas Police Department is investigating a double shooting Thursday night that has left one person dead.
KCK police officers responded to the shooting just before 8 p.m. in the area of N. 38th Street and State Avenue.
When officers arrived on scene they found to men who had been shot.
One victim was pronounced dead at the scene. The second victim was taken to an area hospital and is reported to be in stable condition.

No suspect is in custody at this time.
