1 dead, 1 facing charges after deadly Hazleton crash

HAZLETON, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A driver is facing charges and one person is dead after a motorcycle crash in Luzerne County.

Police say the crash happened May 8 just before 12:00 p.m. involving a motorcycle on North Church Street and 17th Street in Hazleton.

Pedestrian struck, hospitalized in Hazle Township

Officials say the motorcycle was stopped in traffic when it was hit by a vehicle.

The driver of the motorcycle was taken to a nearby hospital where he later died.

The driver of the vehicle that hit the motorcyclist has been charged with careless driving.
